DEFRA’s Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) opened for applications this week.

Among the elements of the scheme are a number of options aimed at the sustainable management of hedgerows. Landowners can apply for assistance in assessing and recording their hedgerows in addition to funding for practical management and restoration work.
